HOUSTON – An auto repair business has filed a lawsuit in response to an incident in which a tow truck driver allegedly assaulted one of its employees, recent Harris County District Court records show.
Europower Auto Specialist, Inc. is suing Frank Sanchez in the Harris County 189th District Court.
Court filings dated Nov. 27 assert that Sanchez went to the plaintiff’s premises to drop off a vehicle in need of service earlier this year and verbally accosted employee Anwar Khodr.
According to the original petition, the defendant pushed Khodr backwards and caused the latter to damage his prosthetic leg. Another Europower employee then came to Khodr’s aid.
The suit adds that Sanchez brandished a knife at the workers while leaving the property. He purportedly damaged Europower's concrete post and metal mechanical gate with his truck.
It additionally accuses the respondent of disparaging the plaintiff prior to the subject event.
Consequently, Europower seeks $20,000 in damages.
Fresnel Nghi Phan of Houston is representing the complainant.
