GALVESTON – San Antonio-based H.E.B. Grocery Co., LP has been implicated in a Galveston County woman’s state district slip and fall lawsuit.

Having filed the suit on Nov. 28 in the Galveston County 405th District Court, Robin Westphal alleges that the incident occurred at the defendant’s Friendswood store last June 21.

A piece of iceberg lettuce reportedly caused Westphal to slip, fall, and land “forcefully on the floor” near the deli.

“There can be no question that Westphal is an innocent victim in this case,” the original petition says.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Jeffrey N. Todd of The Todd Law Group, PLLC in Houston.
