HOUSTON – A Texas man is suing a local banquet hall in an effort to retrieve a refund, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Michael Bisong, doing business as Frakaz Entertainment, filed a lawsuit against Ayva Center, LLC on Nov. 30 in the 334th District Court, alleging the facility owes him a $25,000 deposit.

Bisong and Ayva reportedly entered into a contract earlier this year for a three-day function that was scheduled in late May. Under the agreement, the plaintiff paid the defendant the funds in question, and should bar sales from the function match or top $28,500, the former would be refunded.

Asserting that “the revenue generated from the bar sales met or exceeded the contractual requirement,” Bisong claims that he is entitled to a full refund of initial deposit.

Jared G. Flynn of Flynn Law, L.L.C. in Houston is representing the complainant.
