HOUSTON – A local woman has brought a slip and fall lawsuit against Memorial Hermann Health System after she allegedly sustained injuries at its hospital in Humble earlier this year.

In court documents filed on Dec. 4 in the Harris County 113th District Court, Melissa Russo explains that “a dangerous condition that was created by the landscapers that were hired and/or utilized by the defendant” caused the Jun. 8 incident.

Russo states that she slipped and fell on wet mud as she was walking on the sidewalk on the defendant’s property.

“The buildup of wet mud on the sidewalk was a result of recently planted landscaping and mud that travel out of the bed and onto the sidewalk,” the suit says.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Adam P. Criaco of the law firm Criaco & Associates in Houston.
