HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges she was not warned of soapy water on a floor that caused her to fall.

Doris Roca filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the Harris County District Court against SLS Houston Properties LLC alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 9, 2017, she was walking towards the elevator at the defendants' premises when she slipped on soapy water on the floor and fell. She alleges she sustained severe injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and lost wages.

The plaintiff holds SLS Houston Properties LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate warning of the dangerous condition of the floor.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Reed W. Burritt and Alvin Adjei of Burritt Adjei PLLC in Houston.
