Worker seeks more than $1 million from BP Products North America, others over fall at site

Personal Injury

HOUSTON – A worker is seeking damages over injuries he allegedly sustained when he fell through a hole at a Texas City work site.

Anthony Verdin filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the Harris County District Court against BP Products North America, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 27, 2017, he was injured while working for Able Industrial at a facility operated by defendants when he fell into a hole while attempting to avoid being hit by a pipe. He alleges suffered injuries to his back and other parts of the body.

The plaintiff holds BP Products North America, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide a safe workplace and failed to cover or barricade openings at the work site.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Anthony G. Buzbee, Andrew Dao and Cornelia Brandfield-Harvey of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
