HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges his former employer failed to provide advance notice of his termination as required by a contract.

Dominick Palermo filed a complaint on Dec. 10 in the Harris County District Court against Air Filters Inc. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff signed an employment agreement with the defendant in June 2008 and that agreement stipulated the plaintiff would be provided 14 days of advance notice of his termination.

The suit states that on Sept. 1, 2018, the plaintiff was abruptly terminated from his employment without notice. He alleges the failure to provide advance notice resulted in a financial loss of $5,384, plus additional amounts for allegedly unpaid additional hours.

The plaintiff holds Air Filters Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide the advance notice of the termination as required by the agreement.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, costs, attorney's fees, interest and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Peter Costea in Houston.
