HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges a wet floor at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport caused her to fall.

Gloria Jenkins filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the Harris County District Court against city of Houston, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, et al. alleging premises liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, on April 3, 2018, the plaintiff was an invitee at defendant George Bush International Airport when she slipped and fell on water on the floor allegedly left by housekeeping staff. She alleges she suffered serious injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and lost wages as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain the area in safe manner and failed to warn the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks actual and special damages, costs, expenses, interest and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by David K. Mestemaker, Norman Straub, Jonathan B. Zumwalt and Codi K. Kraus of Mestemaker & Straub in Houston.
