HOUSTON – A Pasadena man is seeking more than $200,000 from the owner of a parking lot after he was injured in a fall while he was walking to his car.

Patrick Smith filed a complaint on Dec. 17 in the Harris County District Court against RU Real Estate Holdings LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was a tenant of the defendant's premises in Pasadena. He alleges he was seriously injured while walking to his car in the defendant's parking lot in a fall caused by the condition of the parking lot.

The plaintiff holds RU Real Estate Holdings responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly inspect the parking area to discover the dangerous condition, failed remedy the same and failed to give adequate warning about it.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Albert Lee Giddens of Law Office of Albert Lee Giddens in Pasadena.
