HOUSTON – A Hidalgo County man alleges he was injured at a Port Arthur hotel in a fall.

Robert Hinshaw filed a complaint on Nov. 29 in the Harris County District Court against Triangle Hospitality Inc., doing business as Super 8 Motel, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 2, 2018, he was injured at defendant's motel in Port Arthur when he slipped and fell on a wet floor in the bathroom in his room, hitting his head on a surface and causing damage to his skull. The plaintiff alleges a defect at the premises caused moisture in the bathroom, which caused the floor to become wet.

The plaintiff holds Triangle Hospitality Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly breached its duty of care by failing to inspect the property for dangerous conditions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Ramon Garcia and Orlando F. Garcia of Law Office of Ramon Garcia PC in Edinburg.
