GALVESTON – A guardian alleges an estate has suffered injury because a Galveston County woman wrongfully exercised dominion or control over a man's property.

Christopher Johnsen, as guardian of the person and estate of William John Denson Sr., filed a complaint on Dec. 18 in the Galveston County District Court against Umaporn Klimmeck alleging conversion.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Klimmeck allegedly persuaded Denson, 84, to loan her money and buy items for her. The suit states the defendant "persuaded" Denson to purchase a massage parlor, automobiles and other goods for her and post her bail.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because the defendant allegedly wrongfully exercised dominion or control over the property in an unauthorized manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order restraining defendant from taking any further action transfer, or dispose of any cash, funds, or property belonging to Denson or purchased using his money, and award for monetary relief of over $200,000 but less than $1 million, and all other relief to which he may show himself justly entitled. He is represented by Christopher L. Johnson, Justin M. Kornegay and Morgan A. Jenkins of Johnson & Associates Attorneys at Law PLLC in League City.
