HOUSTON – A patient alleges her condition was misdiagnosed and she suffered injuries because of a surgery.

Terri Holmes filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in the Harris County District Court against McKinney Podiatric Associates PA and Hina Hassan DPM alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 23, 2017, she presented herself to Hassan with complaints of pain in her right great toe joint and Hassan diagnosed her with severe hallux valgus deformity. The suit states she underwent surgery and continued to have pain. The plaintiff alleges she was later diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy, or complex regional pain syndrome, after the surgery.

The plaintiff holds McKinney Podiatric Associates PA and Hassan responsible because Hassan allegedly wrongfully diagnosed her with a severe hallux valgus deformity.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, with interest, costs of court and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Tommy R. Hastings and Gregory L. Feste of Hastings Law Firm PC in The Woodlands.
