HOUSTON – A Cypress woman alleges she was injured while riding a float in a St. Patrick's Day parade.

Gisselle Flores filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in the Harris County District Court against Battery Solutions of Texas, Batteries Plus, FM 1960 Parade Committee, Harris County and Matthew Winkler alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 12, 2017, she was on a parade float sponsored by Batteries Plus in the FM 1960 Parade Committee's St. Patrick's Day parade. The suit states the float was driven by Winkler and that the plaintiff was injured while on the float.

The plaintiff holds Battery Solutions of Texas, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly were negligent in failing to warn the plaintiff that no safety railing was installed.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Cristobal M. Galindo of Cristobal M. Galindo PC in Houston.
