HOUSTON – An alleged fire earlier this year has prompted a furniture business consultant to file a lawsuit, recent Harris County District Court records show.

In court filings dated Dec. 21, Jeff Grill blames the May 28 fire on National Container Group. NCG’s property is located to Office Furniture Connection, to which Grill serves as a consultant.

The defendant reportedly housed cleaning materials as it is a business that cleans chemical containers for reuse.

The suit asserts that contamination from the fire caused OFC to close its offices. According to the plaintiff, the closure of the office furniture showroom has caused him to lose sales.

Consequently, Grill seeks unspecified monetary damages.

He is represented by Thomas M. Valega, Jr. of Houston.
