HOUSTON – Two Houston residents allege the negligence of a Coppell-headquartered company damaged the electrical system of their home.

Gavin Mendeck and Jennifer Mendeck filed a complaint on Dec. 27 in the Harris County District Court against GW Communication alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Aug. 5, 2018, the defendant was working in the neighboring area where plaintiffs live when it damaged plaintiffs' electrical system and break box in their home. The plaintiffs allege the defendant damaged the neutral line and caused power surges into their home.

The plaintiffs allege they had to pay for the damages and the defendant should be liable for the damages.

The plaintiffs seek actual damages of $350,000, an award for exemplary damages with interest, costs, attorney's fees, lost wages and all other relief to which they are entitled. They are represented by Jose Luis Orihuela of Orihuela and Associates PLLC in League City.
