HOUSTON – A state district lawsuit pinning a 2016 home invasion on ADT Security Services, Inc. is now under federal jurisdiction.

Recent Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas records show that the November 2018 suit brought by Lawrence and Danielle Berry and their two children was received from the Harris County 215th District Court on Jan. 3.

As previously reported in The Southeast Texas Record, ADT is blamed for sending employees who “were not qualified or legally authorized to work for a Texas licensed security company” to the Berry residence sometime in November 2016.

According to the plaintiffs, they were subsequently attacked by unknown assailants.

The defendant did not respond to the Berrys’ allegations.

It is represented by Tanya L. Chaney of the law firm Shook, Hardy & Bacon, L.L.P. in Houston.
