HOUSTON – A Fort Bend County woman claims in a state district lawsuit that she was injured during a pedicure session at a local nail salon last September.

Jessica Roberts is suing JWACT Nails and Spa, LLC, doing business as Summit Nails, in the Harris County 11th District Court. Roberts’s suit, which was filed on Jan. 18, faults an employee of the defendant for “digging deeply into” her right big toe during her visit on Sept. 6, 2018.

The worker’s actions caused the plaintiff to suffer cellulitis and allergic rhinitis, according to court papers.

Consequently, Roberts seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Farrah Martinez of Houston.
