HOUSTON – A man alleges he was injured by an employee of a Houston club as he was escorted out.

Desmond Lapaul Edwards-Green filed a complaint on Jan. 16 in the Harris County District Court against Belle Station LLC and John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 5, 2018, he was at defendant Belle Station's premises to celebrate the holiday with his co-workers. He alleges he and his co-workers were dancing on the seats when Doe, a Belle Station employee, struck his leg with a stick and told the plaintiff and his co-workers to leave the establishment. He alleges as he was leaving, an employee of Belle Station pushed him in the back and he "began to defend himself" when four other Belle Station employees "suddenly jumped, kicked and punched" him, the suit states. He alleges his knee was injured.

The plaintiff holds Belle Station LLC and John Doe responsible because Belle Station allegedly failed to properly hire, supervise and train its employees and Doe allegedly caused the plaintiff's injuries because of his negligent disregard of the plaintiff's safety.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Cristobal M. Galindo of Cristobal M. Galindo PC in Houston.
