HOUSTON – An allegedly disparaging online review has prompted a local law firm to sue a former employee, recent Harris County District Court records show.
The Gonzalez Law Group, PLLC filed a lawsuit against Grace Gutierrez on Jan. 22 in the Harris County 55th District Court, insinuating that the defendant posted the review in question to Glassdoor on Jan. 20, 2017.
Court papers accuse Gutierrez of engaging in a “smear campaign” which defamed the complainant’s “business, its good name, and its reputation.”
Gutierrez reportedly wrote that the firm “will nickel and dime you if you decide to withdraw or close your case.” She also claimed that “the boss loves to hit on all the females that work there,” the suit says.
A jury trial is requested.
The complainant is representing itself.
