HOUSTON – A business specializing in ISO shipping container services has been sued for wrongful termination by a former employee who took time off last year to undergo a major medical procedure, recent Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas records show.

Frieda Lolley filed a lawsuit against Boasso America Corp. on Jan. 28, claiming that the defendant fired her close to her return from open heart surgery despite granting her approved leave.

“Boasso had no intention of allowing her to return to work,” court papers say.

Lolley alleges that the respondent “effectively ambushed her” in regards to her firing from her sales and marketing director position, which she reportedly held for 20 years.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by Scott Newar of the Law Office of Scott Newar in Houston.
