HOUSTON – A customer of a McDonald's franchisee in Brookshire alleges a wet floor at the restaurant caused a fall and injuries that required surgical treatment.

William Wellington filed a complaint on Jan. 29 in the Harris County District Court against Adcock QSR Three LP alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 7, 2018, he was purchasing a meal at defendant's McDonald's restaurant when he slipped on the wet floor and fell. He alleges he sustained injuries, including but not limited to multiple tears of ligaments and tendons in his left shoulder, that required surgery as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Adcock QSR Three LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to clean up the wet floor or put up warnings.

The plaintiff seeks all damages, plus costs, interest and such other and further relief to which he may show himself justly entitled. He is represented by Russell S. Briggs of Fibich Leebron, Copeland, Briggs & Josephson LLP in Houston.
