HOUSTON – A Harris County woman alleges wet concrete outside of her apartment caused her to fall.

Nolvia Sosa filed a complaint on Jan. 30 in the Harris County District Court against Genesis Community Management Inc. alleging premises liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 18, she was a resident at defendant's River Stone Apartments on Walnut Bend Lane in Houston. The suit states on that day, she slipped and fell on a wet concrete outside her unit while exiting it. She alleges she suffered serious injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of earnings.

The plaintiff holds Genesis Community Management Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the condition and failed to inform her of it.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may show herself justly entitled. She is represented by Cesar Amador of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
