HOUSTON – A Cypress man’s first day on the job at a north Houston office building almost two years ago was marred by a slip and fall incident, according to a state district lawsuit.

Attributing the subject event to a “slick, wet surface” just outside the door of the building located at 350 Glenborough Dr., Steven Hovater sued the property’s owners, Aque Investment Group, LLC and Austin Management Group, Inc., on Jan. 31 in the Harris County 80th District Court.

Hovater says that the slip and fall occurred just as he was going to his vehicle to retrieve a forgotten item prior to starting work.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages.

He is represented by John Carroll Boudreaux of Porter.
