HOUSTON – A Texas woman claims in a state district lawsuit that she was attacked by a security guard at a downtown Houston entertainment venue more than a year ago.

Sylvia Courvier initiated litigation against the guard’s employer, L.B.K. Investments Inc., doing business as Five Star Event Services, in the Harris County 80th District Court on Feb. 1.

Court documents state that the unidentified guard severely injured Courvier “and then failed to render proper aid the plaintiff,” who was watching a show at Revention Music Center.

Courvier’s purported injuries include, but are not limited to a fractured skull, a neck injury, and a traumatic brain injury.

Consequently, the complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by the law firm Morrow & Sheppard LLP in Houston.
