HOUSTON – A large pothole at a Houston business is alleged to have injured a man.

Bill M. Griffin filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the Harris County District Court against Secure Trailer Lots alleging premises liability.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 9, he was an invitee at defendant's business at 8361 Liberty Road, Houston when he tripped and fell because of a large pothole in a gravel lot. He alleges he suffered injuries that resulted in medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish and lost wages as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Secure Trailer Lots responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make its premises safe for its invitees or to warn them of the dangerous condition of the parking lot.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of less than $100,000 and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by David K. Mestemaker, Norman Straub, Benjamin Zumwalt and Codi K. Kraus of Mestemaker, Straub and Zumwalt in Houston.
