HOUSTON – An installer is suing AirNow Services over allegations an unsafe workplace caused his fall.

Austin Carpenter filed a complaint on Jan. 31 in the Harris County District Court against AirNow Services Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 22, he was working for defendant in The Woodlands when he fell 25 feet onto a welding table. The suit states the plaintiff was instructed by his supervising manager to ascend industrial shelving to retrieve a table for the owner's wife. The plaintiff alleges he sustained severe injuries to his back and legs as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds AirNow Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide a safe workplace and failed to provide safe equipment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount of more than $1 million and all other relief as may be determined to be proper. He is represented by Andrew G. Buzbee, Andrew Dao and Cornelia Brandfield-Harvey of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
