HOUSTON – A Houston property owner alleges a contractor failed to complete work on home and refused to refund his money.

Manuel Gomez filed a complaint on Feb. 5 in the Harris County District Court against Calderon Roofing & Remodeling and Vicente Calderon alleging that they violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 15, 2018, the defendants were contracted to remodel a bathroom and install a new roof on plaintiff's home for a total price of $35,000. The plaintiff alleges the defendants did not finish the work on the bathroom, never started work on the roof, and refused to return the his money.

The plaintiff holds Calderon Roofing & Remodeling and Calderon responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to finish the project and made false promises regarding their expertise in roof repair and remodeling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, for all damages, with interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Anis Damani of Damani Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
