HOUSTON – Three healthcare entities allege that they were tricked by a Fort Bend County man posing as legal counsel into providing medical services to an individual.

According to recent Harris County District Court records, Phillip Brantley of the law firm Phillip Brantley and Assoc., P.C. in Houston filed a lawsuit against Mohamed Ifran Vohra on behalf of Eastside Surgery Center, Inc.; US Anesthetics, PA; and FB Surgical Associates, PA in the 164th District Court on Feb. 11.

The plaintiffs accuse Vohra of fraud, asserting that he is not a licensed attorney and his law practice in question, EBV & Associates, PC, does not exist. Court papers say that the complainants would not have administered treatment to the defendant’s client had they learned of the deception in question sooner.

Vohra purportedly has outstanding bills, of which the plaintiffs demand payment.
