HOUSTON – A South Houston man’s purported trip and fall at a gas station last year has resulted in legal action, according to recent Harris County District Court records.

George Cavazos is suing Skyland Gas, Inc., doing business as Texaco, in the 133rd District Court, claiming that a set of spikes/iron rods at the business located at 601 Spencer Hwy. in South Houston are to blame for the Mar. 12, 2018 incident.

Cavazos’s lawsuit, which was filed on Feb. 20, additionally implies that a lack of adequate lighting contributed to his injuries.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Jose Luis Orihuela of the law firm Orihuela & Associates, P.L.L.C. in League City.
