HOUSTON – Corpus Christi law firms Liles White PLLC and Reyna Injury Lawyers, P.C. have filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Texas man who claims that he fell into a hole at a well site near Three Rivers, recent Harris County District Court records show.

Luis Piedra Juarez brought the suit against Nabors Drilling USA, LP and Marathon Oil Co. on Feb. 19 in the 295th District Court. The 7-page complaint asserts that the incident occurred on the night of Oct. 23, 2018 when Juarez was walking on the floor of a rig platform, which was reportedly owned and controlled by Nabors.

The opening on the floor “was not properly covered,” court papers say.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
