GALVESTON – Galveston County residents Steven and Jaimie Green have filed a lawsuit in response to a dog allegedly harming their daughter.

The Greens’ suit, which was filed on Feb. 22 in the Galveston County 56th District Court, claims that an English bulldog belonging to Benjamin and Amy Strickler attacked the child at their residence on Aug. 21, 2018.

“The defendants’ English bulldog rolled on its back to be petted,” the original petition explains. “As the plaintiff S.G. began to pet the English bulldog, it sprung up, attacked her, and bit her multiple times on the face.”

The canine was euthanized after the incident while the girl continues her medical treatment to this day, according to court documents.

Consequently, the elder Greens seek unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

They are represented by Russell S. Briggs of the law firm Fibich, Leebron, Copeland & Briggs in Houston.
