HOUSTON – The law firm Sullo & Sullo, LLP in Houston has filed a lawsuit against a local nightspot on behalf of a Texas woman who alleges that she suffered a head injury at the establishment during a New Year’s Eve celebration, recent Harris County District Court records show.

According to Anitha Palusa’s suit, a large wooden plank at 360 Midtown “suddenly fell from above and crashed directly on top of her head.”

“The situation where wooden planks were falling from above Ms. Palusa’s head created an unreasonable risk of harm,” Harris County 151st District Court filings dated Feb. 28 state.

Consequently, Palusa seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial. Court records indicate that she obtained a temporary restraining order against the establishment.
