HOUSTON – A southeast Houston bar and restaurant has been implicated in a Nueces County man’s wrongful death lawsuit.

Recent Harris County District Court records show that Larry Medrano, Jr. brought the suit against BMB Dining Services (Fuqua), Inc., doing business as Bombshells, on Mar. 1 in the 125th District Court.

According to Medrano, the defendant bears responsibility for a collision earlier this year which claimed the life of his father, Larry Cortez Medrano.

Court documents explain that the Bombshells located at 12810 Gulf Fwy. served the elder Medrano “numerous” alcoholic beverages “while he was intoxicated to the degree that he presented an unreasonable danger to himself and others.”

The decedent purportedly left the business with a blood alcohol level of .274 and was then involved in the fatal collision.

Consequently, the younger Medrano seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by the law firm White Harrison, Trial Lawyers in Houston.
