HOUSTON —A Harris County woman is suing a school district, alleging she was injured by a negligent school bus driver.

Raquel Jordan filed a complaint March 1 in Harris County District Court against Spring Branch ISD, the Texas Association School Boards and Hugo Changala, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on April 5, 2018 Jordan was stopped at a red light. The suit says a Spring Branch ISD school bus driven by Changala failed to stop behind the plaintiff and struck her car, causing her to suffer injuries to her neck and shoulder.

Jordan seeks a jury trial, damages between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorneys Chad Pinkerton and Robert L. Hansen of The Pinkerton Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
