HOUSTON – Claiming that he was hit by a taxicab while walking in downtown Houston almost two years ago, local resident Brady Roberts has filed a lawsuit.

Roberts brought the suit against Fiesta Cab Co. and one of its employees, Domingo Quevedo, on Mar. 5 in the Harris County 215th District Court.

In the 6-page complaint, the plaintiff says that he was walking near Fannin and Webster Streets on June 9, 2017 when Quevedo, who was on the clock for Fiesta, hit him and knocked him to the ground.

The driver allegedly failed to stop and render aid to Roberts while a bystander wrote down the vehicle’s license plate number.

The accident left the plaintiff with knee and lower back injuries for which he is currently undergoing physical therapy, the original petition says.

Consequently, Roberts seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Anthony G. Buzbee of The Buzbee Law Firm in Houston.
