HOUSTON – Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. is facing a personal injury lawsuit from a Harris County man who claims that a door fell on him at its premises.

Marco Hernandez filed the suit against the nonprofit organization on Mar. 7 in the Harris County 164th District Court in response to the July 15, 2018 incident in question.

He asserts that the door “was not properly secured or marked.”

Consequently, Hernandez seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Gregory Gowan of the law firm Gowan Elizondo, LP in Corpus Christi is representing the plaintiff.
