Customer blames 24 Hour Fitness for fall in gym

HOUSTON — A customer is suing 24 Hour Fitness, alleging negligence caused him to slip and fall.

Bruce Fulin filed a complaint March 7 in Harris County District Court against 24 Hour Fitness USA Inc., alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 29, 2017, Fulin was at the 24 Hour Fitness property, 12553 Westheimer Road, Houston. The suit states Fulin was caused to slip and fall on a substance leaking from a gym machine, leading to injuries to the plaintiff's wrist and body.

The suit alleges 24 Hour Fitness failed to keep the floors dry and failed to warn the plaintiff.

Fulin seeks damages between $200,000 and $1 million as pre- and post-judgment interest and all court costs. He is represented by attorney Sofia E. Bruera of Buera Law Firm PLLC in Houston
