HOUSTON — A Fort Bend County woman is suing her employer, alleging she was injured at a worksite when a foam block struck her on the head.

Paula L. Ross filed a complaint Feb. 20 in Harris County Circuit Court against The Rohart Company, individually, and doing business as Sterling Manufacturing & Distributing, alleging negligence and failure to provide a safe workplace.

According to the complaint, Ross was working for the defendant as a forklift driver at 150 Bennington, Houston on June 7, 2018. The suit says a heavy foam block fell from its stacked position and struck the plaintiff on the head, resulting in damages to her spine and requiring surgery.

Roos seeks damages of $450,000, pre- and post-judgment interest and costs of court. She is represented by attorney Sarnie A. Randle Jr. of S.A. Randle & Associates P.C. in Houston.
