HOUSTON – A Beaumont-based sandwich chain is the target of a personal injury lawsuit from a Harris County woman who alleges that she experienced a slip and fall at the salad bar.

Jacqueline Lesueur filed the suit against Deli Management, Inc., doing business Jason’s Deli, in response to the May 17, 2017 at the defendant’s eatery located at 7010 Hwy. 6 in Houston in the Harris County 281st District Court on Mar. 15.

The original petition explains that Lesueur went to the business to pick up dinner, and when she asked an employee if her side salad was in the bag, she was told that “they do not make salads anymore” and was instructed to do so at the salad bar.

“As Ms. Lesueur approached the salad bar, suddenly and with no warning, Ms. Lesueur slipped and fell on what appeared to be white salad dressing on the floor,” court papers say. “The plaintiff fell on her left knee.”

A witness helped the complainant to her feet and helped her to the front of the store to report the subject event to the manager. An ambulance was summoned when Lesueur’s knee immediately began to swell, the suit says.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by Matthew R. Willis of the law firm Brent Coon & Associates in Houston.
