HOUSTON – A Harris County man has filed a state district lawsuit against a southwest Houston storage lot over what he claims were the thefts of his dump trailers.

In the 6-page original petition filed on Mar. 20 in the Harris County 129th District Court, Noe Daniel Chanico says that the trailers were stolen from CubeSmart Storage located at 5400 Alder Dr. The first incident occurred on Dec. 2, 2017 while the second took place more than two weeks later, the suit says.

According to the complaint, the thefts was committed by “individuals who gained access to the property with codes provided by the (business).”

Chanico asserts that CubeSmart’s failure “to provide a safe and secure storage facility and/or the proper security” constituted a breach of the lease agreement between the parties.

The plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by the law firm Matías J. Adrogué PLLC in Houston.
