HOUSTON – A local court reporting business has sued attorney William P. Ramney and the law firm Ramey & Schwaller, L.L.P. in Houston over what it asserts is a $22,000 debt, recent Harris County District Court records show.

In a lawsuit filed on Mar. 25 in the 61st District Court, Carlisle Reporting claims that the defendants have yet to pay for services it performed in early 2017. According to the original petition, the plaintiff billed the respondents $22,469.98 for seven depositions it recorded in relation to a case involving Global Equity Managements on June 5, 2018.

Despite a written demand for payment, the defendants “continued to refuse to make payment,” the suit says.

The Kassab Law Firm in Houston is representing Carlisle.
