HOUSTON — A Houston woman is suing Walgreens, alleging she was caused to slip and fall on an unreasonably slippery floor.

Paula Love Frazier filed a complaint March 27 in Harris County District Court against Walgreens Pharmaceutical Inc. and Statewide Building Maintenance LLC, alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint Frazier was injured April 12, 2018 while at the Walgreens, 808 Antoine Drive., Houston. The suit says she was walking on a floor that had recently been cleaned by the defendants who had used a buffing machine. Frazier said she was not given any warning about the slippery condition of the floor, causing her to slip and fall.

As the plaintiff was being helped up, the suit says, she slipped and fell a second time, leading to debilitating knee and ankle injuries, plus physical pain.

Frazier seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000 and all just relief. She is represented by attorney Moises Morales III of Smith & Hassler in Houston.
