Investment company alleges Bacliff tenant failed to pay lease

GALVESTON — An investment company is suing a Bacliff tenant who has allegedly abandoned the property and failed to pay his lease.

146 Investments LLC filed complaint on April 18 in the Galveston County District Court against Tommy Steven Macklin, doing business as The Bunker Cigar Lounge, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, 146 Investments entered into a lease agreement with Bunker Cigar Lounge on July 21, 2017, in which the defendant agreed to pay for the term of Sept. 1, 2017, to  Aug. 31, 2020, at a monthly rate of $1,750 for property at 3505 SH 146, Suite 500, Bacliff. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendant has failed to pay the lease since April 1, and has abandoned the property.

146 Investments seeks actual damages between $33,075 and $75,000, plus interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other just relief. It is represented by attorneys Kyle L. Dickson and Philip J. Nolen of Murray Lobb PLLC in Houston.
