Company alleges League City landlord locked them out of property

GALVESTON — A company is suing its League City landlord, alleging it was deprived access to a building and its inside property.

Franchise Specialist LLC filed a complaint April 17 in Galveston County District Court against 101 League City I-45/646 LP and 101 League City I-45 GP LLC, alleging conversion.

According to the complaint, the defendant is the landlord of a property at 2481 South Gulf Freeway, League City. The suit states the defendant has locked Franchise Specialist out of the property and has failed to relinquish possessions that are within the property, causing the plaintiff damages of more than $800,000.

Franchise Specialist seeks between $100,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs and all other just relief. It is represented by attorney Richard A. Fulton of Coats Rose PC in Houston.
