Customer blames Palais Royal store in Galveston for injuries

GALVESTON — A customer is suing Palais Royal, alleging she was injured when she tripped and fell into a clothing rack at the defendant's store in Galveston.

Sheila Miller filed a complaint April 17 in the Galveston County District Court against Speciality Retailers Inc., doing business as Palais Royal, alleging liability and negligence.

According to the complaint, Miller was shopping July 27, 2018, at the defendant's property at 2711 61st St., Galveston. The suit says as Miller walked around the store she tripped and fell over a platform and into a clothing rack.

The plaintiff alleges she sustained injuries, leading to medical expenses, future pain and suffering, and physcial impairment and disfigruement

Miller seeks more than $1 million in damages, attorney fees, costs, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Carlos Lopez and M. Kevin Queenan of Queenan Law Firm PC in Arlington.
