GALVESTON — A Dickinson property owner is suing a co-property owner, alleging the plaintiff has not received payment for taxes in more than 13 years.

Lesvia Solis filed a complaint April 29 in the Galveston County District Court against Flora Aguilar, alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint Solis and Guadalupe Aguilar were co-owners of the property at 2941 46th St., Dickinson until Oct. 7, 2004, when Aguilar died in an interstate highway crash. The suit states Solis has paid Flora Aguilar's (estranged spouse of Guadalupe Aguilar) share of property taxes since 2005 and has received no contribution from the defendant.

Solis seeks actual damages, all just and equitable relief and court costs. She is represented by attorney Carlos Garza of Martin, Garza & Fisher LLP in Galveston.
