GALVESTON — A customer is suing a Galveston miniature golf course, alleging she was caused to trip and fall and sustain injuries.

Ruby Simpson filed a complaint April 30 in Galveston County District Court against Randy Lee Koplin, doing business as Magic Carpet Golf, alleging negligence and liability.

According to the complaint on Aug. 5, 2018, Simpson was playing at Magic Carpet Golf, 9030 Seawall Blvd. Galveston. The suit says she was walking between holes on a marked path when she tripped on a fixture, fell to the ground and sustained severe injuries, leading to pain and suffering and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges there were no warning signs regarding the dangerous condition and the path was not adequately lit.

Simpson seeks damages, attorney fees, court costs and all equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Reed W. Burritt and Alvin Adjei of Burritt Adjei PLLC in Houston.
