Galveston couple alleges developer abandoned project after receiving $24,000

GALVESTON — A Galveston couple is suing a developer, alleging work on their home was abandoned after the defendant received payment.

Peter Pedalino and Michele Pedalino filed a complaint May 13 in Galveston County District Court against Isle Development LLC, alleging breach of contract, 

According to the complaint, the Pedalinos entered into a contract May 13, 2017, with Isle Development for improvements to their property at 4228 Las Palmas Blvd., Galveston. The suit alleges the defendant was to perform renovations to the property, and the plaintiffs paid Isle Development with a check for $24,000. 

The plaintiffs say the defendant has failed to perform the work and has abandoned the project, constituting a breach of contract.

The Pedalinos seek trial by jury, relief of up to $100,000, interest, court costs and all other equitable relief. They are represented by attorney Angel E. Hagmaier of Galveston.
