Argos USA plant supervisor alleges he was not paid for overtime work

HOUSTON – A Houston man is suing his cement and aggregate producer and distributor employer over allegations he is owed unpaid wages.

Dman Thomas, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on May 29 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Argos USA LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The suit states the plaintiff was employed by the defendant as a plant supervisor and regularly worked in excess of 40 hours a week. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay the plaintiff for the overtime hours he worked at a rate of time-and-one-half of his regular wages. 

The plaintiff is seeking a jury, unpaid and owed wages, attorneys' fees, costs, liquidated damages, interest and other relief deemed fit. The plaintiff is represented by Alfonso Kennard Jr. in Houston.
