Consumer alleges USI Solutions continued to call after his request to stop

HOUSTON – A Richmond man alleges a Pennsylvania debt collection agency did not honor his request to stop calling.

Andrew S. Mackey filed a complaint on May 30 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against USI Solutions Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and violation of the Texas Debt Collection Practices Act.

The suit states the plaintiff was contacted in May by the defendant who was seeking to collect an alleged credit card debt. The plaintiff alleges he requested that the defendant stop calling as he was no longer indebted for the debt but the defendant failed to honor the plaintiff's request and continued.

The plaintiff is seeking trial by jury, actual damages, attorneys' fees, court costs and other relief deemed fit. The plaintiff is represented by Andrew S. Mackey, Joseph S. Davidson, Mohammed O. Badwan of Sulaiman Law Group LTD in Lombard.
